Job description

GitLab is hiring a US Public Sector Scale Ecosystem Sales Manager - AMER to lead and grow its Carahsoft partner ecosystem across federal, state, local, and education markets. In this remote role, you will drive partner-sourced pipeline growth, develop scalable partner campaigns, support customer acquisition strategies, and collaborate with sales, marketing, and ecosystem teams to expand GitLab's presence in the public sector. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute channel strategies for federal, state, local, and education markets.
  • Manage GitLab's Carahsoft partnership to generate new business opportunities and renewals.
  • Build scalable partner-led demand generation programs and campaigns.
  • Perform account mapping and identify whitespace opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives, Field Marketing, and sales leadership.
  • Support government procurement opportunities and compliance requirements.
  • Drive partner enablement and activation initiatives.
  • Manage marketplace transactions and partner-driven sales activities.
  • Execute event-based partner strategies and convert leads into pipeline.
  • Forecast partner-generated revenue and provide performance reporting.
  • Build relationships with distributors, partners, and technology ecosystems.
  • Use Salesforce and automation tools to track opportunities and campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales development, business development, channel sales, or partner ecosystem management.
  • Experience working with B2B technology sales environments.
  • Knowledge of US public sector markets including federal, state, local, and education sectors.
  • Understanding of government procurement processes and contract vehicles.
  • Experience managing partner programs and demand generation campaigns.
  • Ability to analyze sales performance data and create actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for partner events.

Experience with DevSecOps, cloud technologies, or software development tools., Experience working with technology partners such as AWS or Google Cloud., Knowledge of government contracting programs including GSA, SEWP, and NASPO., Experience building partner ecosystems at scale., Familiarity with GitLab, open-source software, and modern software development practices., Experience managing enterprise technology sales initiatives.
